Alya Aleksandrova (Omsk,Russia)Thank you so much...I managed to find my way to your site before I got seriously scammed. I am a 50 yr-old, single, white American male and on November 21, I received a response to an ad I had at friendfinder.com from a writer whose screen name was Alya222. After her first letter, she wrote me from aleftina_222@pochtamt.ru I have posted some of her letters below. They are nearly identical to other letters posted at this site, so the name Alya appears to be a new alias for a women who is already on your blacklist. I answered her response politely, and an email dialogue began that lasted nearly a month. She gave me a mailing address in Omsk, Russia, and after about 3 weeks of email, I ordered flowers to be sent to that address, but the flower company wrote to me a few days later and told me that the address did not exist. I assumed that the misunderstood address was due to the language barrier. In fact, it was the flower company that ultimately referred me to your site. She sent me seven photos and unlike many of the photos Ive seen at your site, this one was a home-grown corn-fed girl, whereas many of the photos Ive seen at this site appear to be professional models. She told me that she had just moved to a new apartment and did not yet have a phone. Eventually I offered to fly her to the U.S. for us to meet. She said she checked into a getting a visa with a friend who works for a travel agency, and the cost supposedly was $220. I checked with a Russian friend of mine at work (here in the U.S.), who told me that a visa costs only $45. I asked her to verify the cost, and to write to my Russian friend in Russian so he could translate for me. She did not write to him, but she sent me a letter a week later, said a visa cost $320 and she did not have enough money. She also told me she had an uncle who worked for the airlines in Moscow, and that he could get her a discount flight. I went to the website for the US Consulate for the district where she supposedly lived, found detailed visa information, and the cost of the visa was plainly listed in both English AND Russian as $20+$45 processing fee. Needless to say, I did not send her any money. I did mail 3 packages including some Christmas presents from Lands End, but I spent less than $100 on her total, and I never did send her any money. In my final letter to her, I told her shed have to pay for the visa on her own. Here are the traits she has in common with others listed at this site: 1) Fictitious or undeliverable mailing address 2) No telephone 3) She did not answer or otherwise respond to my questions. 4) She had a relative who worked for the airlines in Moscow (later she said it was Vladivostock). 5) She had a friend who worked for a travel agency 6) Her letters - nearly identical to others at this site. I mean almost word for word. 7) Kept claiming that a visa cost $320, and would I please wire her the money Here is the address where I was supposed to wire the money: Western Union, the address of branch: Agent Location Details MENATEP ST. PETERSBURG 20 BARRIKADNAYA STREET OMSK 644099 RU Alya Aleksandrova I have attached her photos and pasted her letters below. Here is the first letter I received from her, and her last two letters. Her last letter is where she asked me to send her money, but I have also posted the one before it because it is identical to a letter elsewhere on your site: Compare this with other letters on this site, and add her alias to your list! Thanks, Doug B dougb52@hotmail.com
