Ekaterina Strelkova Just a quick update on lodging a complaint with authorities. Namely that I was scammed by "Ekaterina Strelkova". I lodged my officail complaint to the Russian Embassy here in Australia, and also with the Russian Interior Ministry, via the Australian Consulate in Moscow. The Embassy here didnt even bother to send me an acknowledgement note, and I am pretty sure that I would have heard nothing more except i went over their heads and took my complaint straight to the Ministry responsible. I have developed a pretty good contact with a member of the Consular Staff, and i am pretty sure that, whilst the Consulate has not gone onto bat as such for me, they did at least make the Russian authorities make it look like they were doing something. The Consulate also said they wanted to know of any other Australians that were bitten by scams like this. That was easy. After, I had posted up my story on your page, I received 3 or 4 e-mails from other men who had also been scammed by this same person in recent weeks. There was a Canadian, an American, and two Aussies that wrote to me, that I can remember. So I sent the messages I had received from these men to the Consulate as well. I cant get over the number of people being fleeced by the same identity though, the people behind it must be making a motza out of it!!! Enough to pay their way out of trouble perhaps.....who knows. After two months I had heard nothing, and was beginning to think that I had wasted my time. Finally the Consulate got back to me last week, with a message that the Russian Interior Ministry had almost finished their enquiry. It should be ready in a few weeks apparently. I wonder what they will say? I am still sceptical. Because of the hassle I am causing you with this other matter, you are welcome to publish this e-mail on your web page for blacklist stories. I hope to hear from you soon. RegardsMichael Glenn
