Anna Churakova (Barnaul, Russia)I recently was scammed by Anna Churakova with email address ann_a@hotbox.ru . An initial email from some agency (I forgot) said that this person had a letter for me (or something like that). First 4 or 5 letters were headed "Hi my friend John" with info and such about her and her city - Barnaul. The next 4 letters were addressed "Hi my love John. And she started declaring her love for me. About the 10th letter was when she asked for money for a visa ($280) and $720 for a ticket. She seemed quick to know all the procedures and she advised to use Western Union and to send her the 10 digit code to receive the money. I emailed back saying I would not send any money and please not to ask again. I stated that I would support her whilst she was my guest and even re emburse 2/3 of her ticket. I was very suspicious at this point and called Western Union where I found out about other scams and Internet sites. One site actually had her name on it. Letters in these sites were very familiar almost identical, in some cases, in content. I lost nothing on this scam but was taken for a ride nonetheless. I hope this helps others John
